Energetic, bright and melodic rock, embedded with a subtle lyrical sarcasm, layered with a horn section. Arguably a more “pop” update on Reel Big Fish, Unwritten Law, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and 311. “The Cubans” are fun, photogenic and catchy. The band have played with the likes of 1200 Techniques, Reel Big Fish, Area 7, The Porkers, Maya Jupiter, and The Butterfly Effect.

This EP is pure pop-ska awesomeness, from the funky first track "Pie Song", then the more heavier Reel Big Fish lyric-like "LGFB" to then to the slow, melodic "Rain Song" with gorgeous singing on behalf of Jasmine, and followed that with the more punk-ska songs of "Imagen" and "Wind And The Rain", and then to finish it off with "30 Second Song" which shows you what the band is capable of doing, although it is a 'muck around' track, they muck around by playing a song which in theory is 30 seconds long and play it to different styles from pop to punk and even death metal. If you're one who likes a CD to tap your feet to, or just lose yourself to, this is worth your interest in getting.
