![]() Since the band's formation in 2003, The Reason has forged a solid name for itself in the Sydney live scene, regularly sharing bills with the likes of 28 Days, Irrelevant, After The Fall, Grand Fatal, Gyroscope, Rufio (USA) and more. The Reason's 'ear-pleasing' form of rock sees them combining elements of classic eighties pop/rock acts with the modern sounds of current faves like Jimmy Eat World, The Get Up Kids and Blueline Medic. The Reason's debut national release 'The New Cool' was produced by acclaimed Australian rock producer Richard Stolz (After The Fall, Bodyjar, 28 Days) for release in October 2005 on indie label DSTAR Records. 'The New Cool' (featuring the singles 'The End Of Winter' and 'Carry On') sees the band offering up enough tasteful pop hooks, embedded within raw and driven rock energy, to keep listeners tapping their feet and nodding their heads. As of Jan 06' the band added extra axe-wielder Joel Conner (Sans Chavelle) to the lineup. An act to watch out for in 2006. |
